Tunnel Park, Holland Michigan

Tunnel Beach park is one of my most photographed beaches. Its accessibility and variety of backdrops makes it one of my most recommended locations for clients. It’s often tied up with other Holland locations such as downtown, Window on the Waterfront park and the state park.

Bathroom / Changing Areas: Excellent bathroom facility and accessibility

Accessibility: Medium - High, wheelchair accessible through tunnel with overlook to beach, top of dune will be inaccessible

Terrain Difficulty: Medium, dune climb can be challenging

Pros: A large variety for a beach location, good bathroom, good parking, shoot distance needed to walk to beach

Cons: Beach has had erosion summer of 2019

Parking: Park near the bathroom facility. If too busy, meet outside of the changing / bathroom area

Cost: $5 daily for Ottawa residents, $8 daily for nonresidents

Cell Phone Service: Varies, good on the east side of the dune, nothing on the east side near the water
